Notes

1Energy of the potential minimum relative to Xe(1S) + I(2P3/2). All constants obtained by trial-and-error matching of observed and calculated spectra Tellinghuisen, Hays, et al., 1976.
2Diffuse emission bands with principal peak at 39510 cm-1.
3Observed in the reaction of metastable Xe(3P2) atoms with I2 and CF3I Velazco and Setser, 1975 and when Xe + HI or Ar + Xe + I2 mixtures at high pressure (~1 atm) are bombarded by electrons Brau and Ewing, 1975, Tellinghuisen, Hays, et al., 1976.
4Broad diffuse bands at 27770 and 30760 cm-1.
5Repulsive state with van der Waals minimum of unknown depth.
